Intermission (but still geometry)

Before Archimedes was Plato, before Plato was Theaetetus of Athens (discoverer of octahedron and icosahedron), before him was Pythagoras (dodecahedron). But before all of them were mushrooms. Namely, Clathrus of the family Phallaceae.  See for yourself:
